Canadian company OneUp is based in the biker's paradise of Squamish, BC.
Among many other products for your riding, they also offer telescopic seatposts. These are distinguished by the fact that they retract the lowest compared to the competition. The highest travel in the shortest body. In recent days OneUp has introduced a new telescopic seatpost - the V3 model.
What's it like?
Lighter. Smoother.
Lighter.
The V3 is the lightest seatpost on the market, regardless of travel. It's even lighter than XC telescopes. Every single part of the seatpost has been lightened, but the biggest weight reduction has come from the new hydraulic cartridge. It's fully sealed, with no need for inflation.
For comparison, the OneUp V3 is 238g lighter than the RS Reverb AXS or 155g lighter than the Fox Transfer. And if you want to lighten everything without compromise, with a set of titanium screws the weight drops another 10g. And that's while offering a very wide stroke range of 90, 120, 150, 180, 210 and 240mm.
Smoother.
The all-new cartridge requires 75% less pressure on the lever when loaded, both on deceleration and braking. This means stroke control on the move is faster and smoother. All friction parts have been redesigned, made from IGUS material. Saddlebags with 180-240mm strokes got new overlapping support for enormous stresses. Completely new seals. New O-rings along with SKF squeegees will not let any dirt from the outside through and keep all the lubrication inside clean. V3 has smoother running for longer and requires less maintenance. Rotational operating clearance has been dramatically tightened without affecting smoothness by adding two large polymer pins and doubling the number of anti-rotation pins.
